In addition to not being able to read the board, I had a rough time seeing anything that was more than a few inches away from my face. After a trip to the eye doctor, I found out that I was severely nearsighted. To correct the problem, my doctor prescribed strong glasses. Unfortunately, the other kids didn't take too kindly to my goggles. A few years later, I decided to go with contact lenses, but they were hard for me to tolerate. However, after a little practice, I was able to learn to live with my contacts. I want to teach you how to deal with contact lenses so that you can stay comfortable.
